Opportunity to be mentored by Executive Chef Rodney Smith. Rodney has a wealth of experience working across Australia and various cuisines from 5 Star hotels to exclusive club environments.

The successful applicant will be flexible and able to work a mixture of shifts including days, nights and weekends, most of which are straight through.

The Townsville RSL Group is an iconic organisation, located in the garrison city of Townsville.

We are looking for a 1st/2nd year apprentice to join the RSL Kitchen team.

Qualifications & experience

  • Certificate I or II in hospitality 
  • Previous experience a plus but not essential

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the highest standard
  • Adhering to all Workplace Health & Safety policies
  • Adhering to all Food Safety regulations
  • A passion of cooking
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Available to work days, nights, weekends and Public Holidays (straight thorough shifts)
