Townsville RSL & Thuringowa RSL Club are proud to support the Mayors Christmas Tree appeal for another year.

The Mayor's Christmas Tree Appeal has been assisting thousands of local families and individuals in need for over 25 years. In 2016, the Townsville City Council received more than $97,000 worth of food, gifts and cash donations from the Townsville community.

What happens with the cash that is donated?

All monies received through the Appeal assists in the purchase of food hampers. The Appeal has partnered with Food Relief NQ to pack and distribute the food hampers (with the help of Defence Force personnel) to the approved local recipients for distribution to families and individuals in need.
